About ROCPADZ:

What Are ROCPADZ?

ROCPADZ are sound dampening pads that, both drastically cuts down on overall stick noise and wont ruin your kit with nasty glues and residues! As a drummer, rebound and response are very important to me. Thats why I've taken great care in researching and experimenting with several rubbers, foams and adhesives to ensure my pads are the BEST!

ROCPADZ will adhere extremely well to the drums, but not permanently and will remove cleanly. You can also reapply them several times over as long as the adhesive side is kept clean. (see faq)

The pad dimensions are 7" Round (fits within the black rim) 1/4" Sponge Rubber (not foam!) with tightly woven durable polyester fabric applied to the batter side. An adhesive backing is applied to the underside to ensure contact with the Rock Band drum set. This will improve note triggering and eliminate the need to compensate your playing. You CAN still play as light or as hard as you were.

NOTE: QM Kits are preferred for most types of sound dampening!

FAQ:

What do ROCPADZ do?

ROCPADZ are sound dampening pads designed to be used with your Rock Band drum set. Their main goal is to tame the obnoxious stick noise due to the hardness of the drum sets hitting surface. ROCPADZ also improve stick rebound and response making your drumming experience more natural.

What are they made out of?

ROCPADZ are made from 1/4" Neoprene Rubber (not foam!) with tightly woven durable polyester fabric applied to the batter side. An adhesive backing is applied to the underside to ensure contact with the Rock Band drum set.

How long do they last?

The batter side of the pads will last extremely long due to the tightly woven polyester fabric. The chances of your pads ripping and/or tearing are virtually impossible. The adhesive backing used to adhere the pads to the drum set will stay adhered as long as the sticky side of your ROCPADZ remains clean.

Over time, ROCPADZ adhesive backing will become less sticky. The longevity of the adhesive side of your ROCPADZ is determined by several factors:

1. How well you prep the drum sets surface prior to your installation of ROCPADZ. - Included in your set will be a packaged sterile wipe for you to clean any dirt and oil off your Rock Band drum set before you stick your ROCPADZ on. Isopropyl Alcohol can also be used to prep the drum sets surface.

2. How hard you hit the drums. - If you really slam on your new set of ROCPADZ, chances are they'll separate from the kit sooner than later. If you're an average hitter, ROCPADZ will remain adhered for an undetermined amount of time. Humidity is also a factor. Very Humid environments will hamper the ability for any adhesives to remain stuck. Every so often you may need to press down the edges to restick your ROCPADZ in place. In between songs is a great time to do this.

Will they ruin my kit?

Noway! The adhesive backing I've used will not leave a speck of glue on your kit. Non permanence is the key. ROCPADZ will not permanently stick to your set or ruin the drum sets pads what so ever!

What happens if they stop adhering to the drum set?

Like I've said above. Every so often you may need to press down the edges to restick your ROCPADZ in place. In between songs is a great time to do this. Also, I will soon have replacement backing sheets available for sale on this site. They'll only be a few dollars and all you'd need to do is peel one side off and stick it to your ROCPADZ, then peel the other side off and stick it to the Rock Band drum set.

Also, double sided tape will also work if your adhesive backing is totally worn out.
